Now You're Cooking - Red Velvet Chocolate Chip Muffins

With Valentine’s Day just a mere hours away, thinking up ways to enjoy the holiday through food (whether you’re paired up or not) usually involves the colours red, pink and lots of chocolate! I’ve never been a huge fan of red velvet cake (because to me it was just a chocolate cake with red food colouring), but this simplified muffin recipe gave me a change of heart. Using sour cream instead of the buttermilk that is usually found in the cake recipes, works similarly to helps keep this cake moist. And the chocolate chips… well you could never go wrong with those!
